I will say this about that rumor...
BvS and JL were both atrocious messes. But Ben Affleck's Batman was one of the few positives in both movies.
I'm still seeing that story literally nowhere, so I think we can officially throw it in the BS pile.
As I thought.
Skitch, "Cosmic Book News" is a known garbage clickbait shithole that passes off as a "publication" and gets featured in the News aggregates. People usually misread the name and confuse it with legit comic book resources, and they just post nonsense that fuels fanboy clicks with fantasies and/or outrage bait.

Watched BvS again last night, second time seeing it.
There's something absolutely brilliant in there, hidden under a maze of bad effects, unnecessary plot threads, and Jesse Eisenberg.

I am so damn curious about how BvS would play out if Snyder had continued to make his full JL1&2 vision. Hmm. Add it to the list of rando thoughts I have that this Snyder cut may make or break.
Jesse Eisenberg's snot was MVP.
Holly Hunter was a close second.

It's going to be over 3.5 hours long?Quoting Zack Synder
I don't understand how they are doing all this without reshoots.
Are we just going to get a whole lot of half baked CGI?
They aren't spending nearly enough money to get that much photorealistic stuff on the screen.
I thought I read they are doing $20 million worth of post production and a few reshoots.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
I haven't read that.
I just remember back when they said, what, $35 million was needed for it? And then someone said they WISHED it was only going to cost $35 million?
And I didn't think any of it was reshoots.
I mean, that's good news if that's the case.
Yeah I haven't heard anything about reshoots, just post-production. Supposedly his photography was done.
If his photography was done, why did they need to bring in Whedon?
This is all very weird.
Almost feels like WB decided to place a bet on a different creative lead and it backfired.
I think they were likely nervous about the length and like you said saw a chance to get out from under what they had going. But also it's probably creator relationship management, not wanting to finish Snyder's movie without him in a difficult situation. There may even have been a hush-hush agreement that they'd let him come back and finish his thing when he was ready and able. Wouldn't put it past them to have planned this all along once Snyder had to leave.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Pretty sure they've confirmed no reshoots, but it might be a miniseries rather than a movie and I read as much as $40mil to finish.

Backlash to critical reception of BvS, popularity of Deadpool (according to Ayer thats why his Suicide Squad was half reshot to make it a funnier mad-cap comedy, less creepy Joker, and completely different end/plot which ruined the tone he completed), and wanting Joss to make Avengers money. Its why the blown out budget and reshooting like 75% of it.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
I guess there's some possible ADR stuff but there's been a bunch of pics lately of Cavill in Superman Suit, JK Simmons publicly saying he's available for reshoots and Aflleck looking buff again.
Not letting Ben Affleck do what he wanted with Batman was one of the biggest missteps DC/WB has made. And that's saying a lot.
I will always be curious what his version of The Batman would have been like.
Agree 100%. Although I do feel pretty good about what Matt Reeves seems to be doing.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Reeves is distancing his Batman from the Justice League Universe, isn't he?
That's the best part about it all.
That's what is allegedly happening.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
But apparently they've already ordered to series a GCPD TV show taking place in the Matt Reeves Batmam universe. Not a pilot...they've gone ahead and ordered a full series for HBO Max.
I predict the worlds will collide in the future.
Well, still needs to get past the pilot stage. The Game of Thrones prequel show didn't make it beyond that. Any other network would've gone full seasons.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
