I'm not considering it official yet, but I'm totally cool with it. Unpopular opinion warning, I hate Twilight and strongly dislike Harry Pottery, but have never for a second thought Pattinson or Radcliffe were bad actors and have followed their careers with interest. Worst thing I can say about this news is I hope he gains a couple pounds. He lacks nothing else.
I was thinking he'd be weirdly perfect for it while watching High Life a few weeks back. I hope it ends up being true.

I’m intrigued but skeptical of the idea that this will be more of the Batman-as-Detective, rather than Batman-as-Ninja/fighter/solves all his problems by punching them.
Intrigued because, well, that would be awesome. My very favorite interpretation of Bats in any medium (including the comics) is Batman: The Animated Series, which focused heavily on him as more of a Sherlock Holmes type of character. Yeah, he was also supposed to be one of the best martial artists in the world (among a laundry list of other things he’s “the best” at), but even his villains referred to him as “detective”.
Nolan kind of promised this for The Dark Knight, but the most detective work he did was the bullet re-building thing, which was actually utter nonsense anyways.
But I’m skeptical because...it’s 2019. This movie will undoubtedly have a > $100-million budget. Would the studio ever greenlight a Batman film that isn’t heavy on the punchy punchy?
But at least if it isn’t what we wanted, we can just set up a petition and make them change it.

Nic Hoult, eh? I figured that for just a rumor. I like the guy but any chance he beats Pattinson? I think Pattinson has more range and variance of films. Maybe I'm wrong on that...*runs off to imdb
