    Jon Hamm, your phone's a'dingling!

But this is exactly the approach I'd hope they'd take with bringing in a new Batman so fast. Have him already be an accepted mainstay in this universe, tell it from Clark's perspective, have Bruce be a bit grizzled and jaded, almost looking at Superman as an unwanted, adversarial force for Gotham after that happened to Metropolis in Snyder's first film. Completely subvert audiences view of Batman on a dime. They're already going to be wary that it's all of a sudden not Christian Bale, why try to win them over the same way Nolan did?
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

It sounds like a really cool idea. Have the older Batman/Bruce Wayne come around and shun Superman for destroying Metropolis. I like that a lot...on paper. Fairly certain they'll fuck this up.

Great idea, but the names they're throwing around for the role are totally unimpressive thus far. Of course it's totally just rumor mill at this point.

And yeah, with Goyer writing, I have no doubt it'll be balls anyways.

How does Goyer keep writing every big WB superhero tentpole movie? Does he have a contract with them?
    Sure why not?

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

    What about it?

It was a huge success. He wrote it. Led to two sequels, each more successful than the last, and each he had a hand in writing.

WB doesn't seem to get, though, that he is not the golden part of the Nolan/Goyer equation.

You know, it didn't even occur to me at first, but... Maybe this doesn't necessarily mean that Batman will be much more older and experienced than Superman. Maybe the sequel would just jump several years ahead into Superman's career, and this is just two experienced heroes meeting for the first time. Or maybe even not for the first time. There's a lot of ways they can take this premise.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Ghost Rider 2 has Neveldine and Taylor from Crank directing Nicolas Cage.

That sounds like a better combination than Goyer writing this.

I do not want Ryan Gosling as Batman.

Josh Brolin would be great, except for his enormous head. I think he'd look like a bobble-head in the cowl.
