No, I don't think it was any sort of time/space portal, more just like a shield that made it so their island couldn't be found unless you happened to stumble upon it. It still exists in the present year and all that, though.

Haha, yeah. I read a quote somewhere from Patty Jenkins saying that the movie has been finished for a while and that she's just making small tweaks. The original release date was November or December this year but WB moved it to summer, probably to stay away from Frozen II and Star Wars, though there was some spin saying, we think Wonder Woman is a summer-type of movie. Nothing abnormally long about the development cycle at all.

I thought 2 years production was standard with big movies that have a ton of special effects.
I thought it was 3. In this case it was 4.
