Hard to believe this got good performance work out of Gina Carano. Uses her particular strengths to its advantage.
Was going to mention the same thing.

On the other end, it seemed to not use Esposito's strengths.

Remember that Geroge Lucas live action show from a couple of years ago? The Test footage was leaked. Looks more like Blade Runner than Star Wars.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I mean, how would you ever know? It's probably the most interesting unexplored planet in the Star Wars universe and all we ever have seen is a bunch of a buildings during the day and night, a night club and ships flying back in forth from inside the Jedi Council.

Would've been interesting to see the different levels of class there for sure.

There was one book that delved down in the lower depths, into the abandoned parts. Talked about how the planet was just city built on decaying city on decaying city. It was dark as hell and really cool. Can't remember which book.

Hell, even the short clip we see where Dooku flies out to his hanger is kinda cool.

3 eps in, not grabbed yet. Like the general absence of familiarity, but it's nothing special. Like that it's short.
Came away satisfied, though by no means elated, after the last 2 episodes. It's all just rather episodic in nature, like how MacGyver and The A-team used to be in the 80's.
    Some silly stuff, [
    ]

Some emotional beats too, like Kquil's demise, or the aforementioned robot. Yoda using the force and then immediately thereafter sitting down from sheer exhaustion. S-i-c-k-e-n-i-n-g-l-y cute!

Real funny too, like the bit with the storm troopers's miserable aim, but luckily not too much goofiness. Show doesn't outstay its welcome, though I hope for a bit more ambition and narrative pull for season 2.

It's the least imaginative setting, especially for Star Wars. We've seen it in cyberpunk and other genres of books, games, movies and television so much that it has already become a cliche.

I think he means in the capacity of an overwhelmingly large city that gets dirtier the lower levels you go. Off the top of my head, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Metropolis...

I thought it was obvious but yeah. Still, even if we didn't, in a universe of one town planets, making the whole planet a high tech city is ludicrous.

Elysium? Not cyberpunk, but still. Blade Runner? I mean, the off world colonies are where the rich folks go right.

Holy shit. I had no idea they filmed this with a projection and 3D tracking using the Unreal engine.

Makes total sense for a TV production.

    Check it out.

A friend of mine who works for a local company owned by Epic Games told me about this back in May. I couldn't even imagine how mindblowing it actually is.

I see that Gantz: 0 movie on Netflix all the time and never really considered it. But that youtube vid made me check it out. The melodrama is garbage even for anime standards, but the rest is quite badass. It's like a mix of Pacific Rim, One-Punch Man and Hunger Games. Very gory in places, but it's super fun. Right up my alley.

Rosario Dawson will reportedly be playing Ahsoka Tano in season 2 of The Mandalorian. This casting might get me to actually watch the show. o.O
