Good to have this show back. JLD carries this show better than any other actress could. Her verbal ticks and timing never grow tiresome. The closing moments were great.

So glad to have this show back. The premiere was hysterical.
"We lost the battle, but we're not cattle! Two years time bitches!"
Armando Iannucci tweeted this out, which has me curious: There's a line somewhere in the opening episode of #Veep tomorrow that will have a profound consequence for the rest of the season.

Glad to see this is still the funniest show on TV, some much needed levity in light of today's events.
Also, Kevin Dunn!
First thing that comes to mind is the rape whistle. Which also gave me flashbacks to:Quoting Sxottlan (view post)
Good first ep. Agreed with Lucky -- feel like Louis-Dreyfus's line deliveries and reactions are always so precise in a non-obvious way. It's worth watching for the subtleties in her performance alone. This is right up there with my favorite things on TV.

My DVR is filled with things I haven't seen yet, but I ended up clicking on this premiere again. This show has great replay value. I always pick up on small jokes I missed.
Have you seen The Thick of It, Lucky?
Not sure why you'd think I would know.
“Most Jews in this country are fine with pork. ‘Pork, shmork,’ they often say.”
"You think this pig's going to attack her? Son that fucker is skinned and roasted he's at a huge disadvatage."

"And how's Patty?"
"She passed away."
"Yes, yes!"
Small arms --> T-rex hands
I thought that final moment of gravity re: the amputee was actually pretty effective. Wonder if it worked for others.

The cake bit in the limo was so good.
I liked that line about Idaho (I think?) being a euphemism for DC haha.
