Beginning of a New Era -- Pledge Thread

    All.

First off, thank you for any contribution that you make.

I plan on purchasing vBulletin 4 with the professional install, which will be around $400. We have a potential host as well who is looking into the amount of space he has. If you can host, please let me know ASAP.

The plan is to try and make the move at the beginning of December.

Donations can be made on PayPal to: ericbialas (@) gmail [.] com. I will not disclose amounts, but will do a big thank you to whoever donates.

I'll keep you all notified on further updates. Feel free to ask any questions via PM.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Did personal, did gift. Really low fee though, like 1%.

I had to pay a small fee because I'm paying with a card instead of straight through my bank account. That might be why.
    ...and the milk's in me.

A fee definitely isn't taken out if you select Gift and have a verified Paypal account. I use it for all my gambling/fantasy pools.

e: Maybe it's tied to bank account like Mara said.

The money in my Paypal account is from ebay sales, so it's not directly linked to my bank account.

Maybe it's a Belgian thing. Doesn't really matter, though.

Do you have to tie your Paypal acct with a bank account? I thought you could use a card. It says it's going to take a few days to verify my bank acct.

Gift wasn't even an option for me. I guess the site's policies differ by country. Had to pay like 6% on top, which is annoying because I gave Bialas $9,000 dollars.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Wonderful support everyone. Thank you. We have made our mark. I'd like to name everyone, but I'm embarassed to say that I don't know all of your names.

    This is a wonderful community.

Now I can go buy an iPad

I'm figuring out server details. Do any of you mind if the actual website were to be different, for instance, you type in match-cut.org, but it comes out as XXXXXX.match-cut.org? We'd have a very reliable host.

Just curious -- what's the purpose of having a different sub domain?

Or are you talking about forwarding the current match-cut.org to something like forums.match-cut.org?
