I love Agora.
Looks good - queued it up.Quoting Isaac (view post)
Of the ones I've listed in this thread, Agora is the first movie where I had absolutely no idea it existed. I was just checking out Amenabar's imdb page to see if he had done anything after Mar Adentro. Might check it out.

I saw Agora on Netflix long time ago. Netflix is giving a lot of recognition to movies that exist.
See my latest blog entry: The Wolf of Wall Street and The New Cinema of Excess
WTF?
Does that actually exist?
Movie Theater DiaryQuoting Donald Glover
Yes!
It seems to be some kind of weird, reverse-Taken-- Old Man Willis is an ex-spook, kidnapped by terrorists, and must be rescued by his son (played by the esteemed Kellan Lutz).
The only difference between Bruce Willis's movies these days seems to be that they're named by randomly pointing on different pages in this dictionary.
Willis already has 109 acting credits to his name. That seems insane.
(For comparison, John Wayne finished up with 179 credits and a lot of those are 1 reelers he made at the start of his career.)
Good thing he has a hit Broadway show.

So that's three Janes versus three Fishburnes, and you can tell everything is good because the background is exploding.
Again, wtf?
Just testing. Sorry.

Studios pay people real money to green light log lines like this. What a world.

I couldnt even finish the book.
That movie was soooooooooo bad.
The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.

Somehow the Cruise Photoshopping is most egregious since it's so close to being right, but his head is just slightly too large.
