Fun bad movie. Some decent action scenes in a messy flick. Also, Jessica Biel.
God I hated that flick.
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”
I've got a copy of that son of a bitch sitting on my shelf.
Me too lol.Quoting TGM (view post)

Heres something ripe for this thread:
Ugh, I'll probably watch that too.
That bloody disgusting quote at 1:14.

Bloody Disgusting is a blog that literally anyone can submit to. They have zero weight or credibility. They exist to get blurb lines on covers of shitty horror movies.
That being said, this was directed by Adam Wingard, so I'll give a chance for sure.
"But I digress, there’s a lot of good news here. The first being that we’re finally getting a sequel to The Blair Witch Project,"
There already was a sequel to The Blair Witch Project...
Skitch, please please tell me there's a full length commentary for Mind's Eye coming up on Movie Freaks!
Whaaaaa I've never even heard of that! I'll queue it up!
This is basically a spiritual successor to Scanners.
Side note: that the director of Almost Human and the Mind's Eye is local to Boston- and I went on a date with the first local reporter you see in the movie and in the trailer of Almost Human. She was a few years older than me and I think she didn't like the fact that I drove a "kids car" (WRX).
That all being said, I WILL watch this movie- there was a good write up about it in the latest issue of Rue Morgue.
I guess this got a wide release? https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/triple_9/
Slipped by my radar, but goddamn look at that cast
(also lol 6 dudes and 1 woman and they can't even fit her on the fucking poster)
Had a great trailer too.
Its problem was that the title is the ultimate forgettable.
I recently acquired a brand of Spanish bota (wineskin) that's called The Three Z.Z.Z. Now that's a far better title.

Holy cast Batman.
I think I had it in the fantasy league last year too. Bombed. lol
It's a good movie.

I vaguely remember hearing about this one ... but for the life of me I can't remember where or when
I'm starting to feel totally out of touch because these seem like big movies but nobody talks about them
Our Kind of Traitor got a small art-house run earlier in the summer. Tried to draft off of the other two recent LeCarré adaptations (Tinker, Tailor... and A Most Wanted Man) but failed to connect, for whatever reason. I didn't see it, but wanted to. Good looking cast.
The Sea of Trees got dragged by critics at Cannes last year and got dragged again this week now that it's finally out. Definitely got dumped in the late summer wasteland.

It's weird that this year we got two American movies about Mt. Fuji's suicide forest.
