I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Pretty soon movies that exist will be all there is to watch. We're doomed.

    I'll turn to a friend

And sees through the master plan
    But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up

What's really hilarious, it's produced by someone called Chris Economides.

Yeah posted about that in upcoming film discussion, and noted that despite the title, not a single person in the movie seems to be using Jiu Jitsu.

Only if you assume that movies are something you're supposed to pay attention to instead of ambient noise to have on in the background while you check your Instagram feed, which seems to be how the kids these days like their "content."

What do you think the chances are the villain gets crushed to death by an elephant?

I didn't notice the bird shitting at first. Can't tell if it makes the poster better or worse.

Hahaha hysterical. Wooden performances, painfully cliché premise, embarrassing one-liners. I'm gonna give this one an 8 beer minimum.

...and... was that guy seriously hunting in the jungle with a bazooka? If so, I hope at least one of other evil flunkies comes armed with a mortar.

I suppose it has its supporters, but is it safe to say at this point this movie counts?

No way; it is Scott's best film in the last 20 years. All the Money in the World, Exodus, and Robin Hood are much better bets for this thread. The Counsellor actually has a point.

Willis looks like that cat meme earlier on but I can't find the photo! Are movies just becoming memes?

That's not saying a hell of a lot. Given the choice, I would probably re-watch Black Hawk Down (despite its monotony) or even Matchstick Men before The Counsellor, which is at best an interesting failure. Some of McCarthy's dialogue is fun (I like the scene where the waitress asks Fassbender what he wants to drink after receiving some terrible news and he answers, "Hemlock!") and I like that everyone looks about twenty years too old for the clothes that they're wearing, but a lot of the film is laughably pretentious, like the scene where Rubén Blades as a Mexican drug lord delivers a long philosophical monologue about choice.
