I also have three invites to Letterboxed if anyone wants then. First three that ask in this thread gets em.

Mubi is least favorite site so far. Feels too pressured to pay for a subscription. iCheckmovies is getting there too, but the official lists are valuable.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I have criticker but haven't touched it for years.

mubi looks interesting. $7 for a year subscription? I wonder how the quality/quantity of movies is.

Letterboxed looks alright. Is it just a social media for movies?

criticker makes sense because it will keep track of your grades on 100 scale (much like I do on my excel spreadsheet)

mubi and letterboxed both allowy you to make lists but mubi allows you to stream movies. And it's $7/month, not a year which makes it Netflix with Lists. If I can make lists on Letterboxed for free, I can ignore the subscription pleas.

The worst part is iCheckmovies has the lists that make me want to watch more movies, but they want you to pay $3/month for NOTHING. They intentionally make their site annoying to make you pay, which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

I'm on Criticker(Gizmo) and Icheckmovies(gizmo_ber) as well. I only use Icheck to look at lists, and it made it slightly easier to create my top 100 list, back before my excel database died with my old computer

I only started logging all my films on Letterboxd in late September but here are my stats from there to the end of the year:

    69 films logged (hey-oh!).
    0 films reviewed (lazy).
    133 hours watched.

Most watched actor: Anthony Daniels (full re-watch of the Star Wars saga will do that for you)
Most watched director: Denis Villeneuve (Incendies, Prisoners, Sicario)

Highest rated (I'm stingy with my full five star ratings):
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, The Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
    last four:
    black widow - 8
    zero dark thirty - 9
    the muse - 7
    freaky - 7

    now reading:
    lonesome dove - larry mcmurtry

I really should start a Letterboxd, but after losing all my reviews during one of many RT reformats, I just keep files on my own. Maybe this will be my new years new job.

    Okay, I did it.

That's what happens when you're watching long-ass anime series all the time instead of movies.

    Films Reviewed: 2
I only bother with a review if I have some quip I want to make or I want to convince people to watch it. No one cares which adjectives I use to describe my X-star rating for Star Wars movies, least of all me.

    Hours Watched: 158
Hilarious metric. And not surprisingly, roughly equal to (number of movies)*(100 minutes)

    Most Watched Actor: Kiyoshi Atsumi

    Most Watched Director: Yôji Yamada

See what happens when you watch more than 3 Tora-san movies in a year?

    Highest Rated
    A Christmas Story ★★★★★
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ★★★★★
    Rosemary's Baby ★★★★★

This must be the most recent five-star ratings to some extent, right? Because I watched most of these at the end of the year when I was doing a lot of revisiting. I also didn't start doing star ratings until midway through the year, mainly for the benefit of a friend (how I wish LB had a four-star system instead of a five-).

    Sidebar, your honor...

...so I'm at this little po-dunk thrift store in Nowheresville, Ohio, and I see a sign that says "all sets 5$". I got Neon Genesis Evangelion + Movies, Outlaw Star, Studio Ghibli DVD Collection, X, Devil Lady, Escaflowne + movie, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and Justice League season two. Holy jackpot.

    Films Reviewed: 2

    Hours Watched: 41

    Most Watched Actor: Sean Connery

    Most Watched Director: Terence Young

    HIGHEST RATED
    Dallas Buyers Club (2013) ★★★★½
    The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) ★★★★
    Gone Girl (2014) ★★★★

    Some notes:
-I didn't watch (or remember to LB) a lot of films last year. I was watching a ton of tv series instead. I'm already at 12 films this year, award season always does
    that.
-This reminds me that my Bond trek could use a kick start again.
-I really need to revisit my rating of Hunger Games III vol 1., and still need to watch vol 2.
-Dallas Buyers Club is probably still the highest rated film I've seen since last year began. Time to hit more classics harder.
