    This is exactly the type of mainstream drama that has died off and gone unnoticed by the masses of late, and it's the presence of Gere who makes this an engaging affair at best despite the film's familiar premise.

    Far better then it seems like it has any right to be as a direct-to-DVD movie, but yet, you can see exactly why it is Direct to DVD.

    I don't know what that exactly means. I guess it seems boringly directed, despite having a rather good script and acting throughout.
