Rip. I last saw him in Boston Legal in which he starred with fellow ST alumn Shatner.

By chance I learned that on dec 5th star trek writer D. C. Fontana passed as well. She penned some huge episodes. Encounter at Farpoint amongst them.

Didn't even know she had been battling cancer for almost two decades... I had a huge crush on her as a kid, never realized she was already like 30 when they became famous.

I'm a bit surprised by the lack of reactions to her death. She was sort of an embodiment of that era and style. And also, wasn't she the last French New Waver alive?

Granted, she was born in Denmark, but when I think of French girls, I think of Anna Karina. Specifically her look in Band of Outsiders. Has a movie ever been made about her life?

Taking Off is easily Miloš Forman's best English-language film.
