Herbert Lom, best known for playing Inspector Dreyfus, Clouseau's foil, in the Pink Panther movies.

The man was a comedic genius. He will be sorely missed.

These are among my favorite comedies. Didn't know he was still alive. That scene in The Pink Panther Strikes Again where he's been hit by laugh gass and yells/laughs "he pulled the wrong tooth" after Clouseau had done dental work on him is too funny.

Oh god yes. I must have watched PP Strikes Again a thousand times, and that scene still cracks me up every time.

"We eventually managed to find them near Biskupin, where demonstrations of prehistoric farming are organized. These oxen couldn't be transported to anywhere else, so we had to built the entire studio around them. A scene that lasted twenty-something seconds took us a year and a half to prepare."

Nooooo. And so young. That's horrible; it's very sad we won't be able to witness his images anymore.
I'm writing for Slant Magazine now, so check out my list of reviews.

Hopefully I'll have the energy to update my signature soon.
