It saddens me that Studs Terkel has passed. He was such a great interview. Such a bright, vibrant man, even, nay, especially in old age. I can only hope to age that well.

I mean, I'm not trying to detract from his suffering...but he's had "weeks to live" for quite a long time now.
And last I heard he was in for a full recovery.

Word is that the cancer has spread to the liver now. But I admittedly only have this from one source, our Belgian newspaper.

There are several media outlets in Australia also reporting this. They say the cancer has spread to his liver, and he's accepting that he can't fight it anymore. Here's hoping they're wrong.
