Celeb (and Celeb SO's) Obit Thread

Figured we'd lump these together especially when the celeb doesn't warrant his/her own thread.

RIP to Bobby Fischer, a chess great and an, er, quirky human being.

I have much respect for Fischer as a chess great, but as a human being he held some fairly shitty views.

He was only 64. But he looked like he was well into his eighties. Poor fellow, I really think there was something deeply unbalanced about him mentally.

I really don't like it when people my parent's age die. Even though people die all the time, it gives me a vicious twinge.

I like Carlin's early work, but he got too angry later on.

    this is appropriate: in memoriam

"The Catalyst" was still easily Linkin Park's best single they ever released:

Still a damn shame it only received a week of radio time before being pulled from the airwaves in favor of their same old same old. :\

I just wish it had taken place on another holiday. National coming out day would have worked for me.
