I honestly don't give a shit about sports so I have no reason to like or defend Kobe but, based solely on having just read the Wikipedia page of the incident, I wouldn't call him a rapist, not even close.

I'm also one to believe that whatever occurred (I won't share or debate my opinion), that since 2003, he became the father of four daughters, helped create a charity (didn't just donate) that provided after-school programs to thousands of kids that wouldn't have the opportunity, and has become a better person. This isn't a Bill Cosby/Weinstein scenario where it occurred again and again over the course of the years.
You make a good point, Eze, and I don't want to belabor things any more than I have to. I just think it's important, for the (alleged) victims' sake, that we don't give these guys a pass.
Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)
I mean... they settled in civil court and she didn't want to testify in the criminal case. If you settle, what is that presuming?Quoting Grouchy (view post)
Ray Lewis killed a guy and he has a statue in Baltimore.
Michael Irving stabbed a teammate in the neck in the locker-room. No one cares.
I don't know enough about the Bryant case. Sounds like he did something terrible and never faced justice.
I still think a father and daughter dying in a helicopter crash is a terrible thing.
The lady was receiving death threats and having her entire sexual history broadcast to the nation on prime time television. She settled because she couldn't take any more. She was 19 years old. A second accuser was set to come forward but decided not to when she saw what happened to the first one.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Note that this is more an indictment of Bryant's legal team than the man himself. To his credit, Kobe Bryant did issue an apology later on.

You know what? After reading the entire Wikipedia page I might have been talking out of my ass. Disregard me.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I was just going to post links to the interviews. Now I’m glad that i don’t have to.Quoting Grouchy (view post)
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”
Regardless of which side you're on with Kobe, can we all at least agree that Ari Shaffir is a POS?
Sure. Hes occasionally really funny, but still a POS.Quoting megladon8 (view post)

"I apologize, sir, for not telling you earlier that you are a degenerate, sadistic old man and YOU CAN GO TO HELL BEFORE I APOLOGIZE TO YOU, NOW OR EVER AGAIN!"
Absolute legend.
Not mentioned in this thread was Dyanne Thorne, a.k.a. Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS.
I just found about Dyanne a couple hours ago.
I love Wild Wild West. Such a fun show. RIP.

Bit busy to write much but this is the best obituary in English I could find for Zé do Caixao (Coffin Joe).
