Nice. Have you ever seen the video for The Smith's There Is a Light That Never Goes Out? Directed by Derek Jarman. This piece reminds me a lot of it.Quoting Kurious Jorge v3.1 (view post)

Yes...I absolutely love Jarman's work, but never really got into his videos for the Smiths, even being both a massive Smiths and Jarman fan. My favorite Jarman film is the 8mm short "Jordan's Dance", I sampled that for a different video (https://vimeo.com/43330823).Quoting Sven (view post)

Davis, your music is wonderful. There's so many great things here. Thanks everyone for contributing!
I write little pieces of (often dialogue-centric) flash fiction now and then, just for exercise mostly. I haven't revised these in a while, and I haven't gone back to the well to write something new in a while, either, though I always want to. I need to kick myself in the ass about it sometimes. I also have a longer, more protracted short story in the works, for which I've worked out the overall arc in my head and "only" have to write more of it than what I have so far. I usually post things quietly on my Facebook in Notes.

A couple years ago I began working on a graphic novel my artist buddy wanted me to write. Its been stalled for a while as I got engaged, moved, married...life...and we had been working on the comic in the mean time. As the magazine came to an end, I told him I wanted to finish it.
But I was stuck. The premise and plot were solid, but as I developed it I felt it was a situation were the ending was really the most important part. Mishandled, it would be cliche and boring. But if I struck a decent idea...it could be really cool.
Then, my infant son fighting his first head cold drove me to sleep on the couch, and as I awoke in an insomnia-laden fit, the idea came to me like a punch to the mouth. With renewed vigor, I've been writing like crazy. Inspiration is a beautiful thing.
