With people talking about the Match Cut Awards results compared to the past ten years of winners, I got the idea that we should go back and re-vote the 2007 cycle. I've seen people argue that the Oscars shouldn't be given out until ten years later to allow opinion to fully coalesce around a historical sense of quality rather than an awards season narrative. So this is a similar idea.
Each summer let's go back and re-vote the Match Cut Awards and compare them to the original winners. Let's get it started now with 2007. The Best Picture winner was No Country For Old Men. Will that stand? Gimme your nominees (five per category) of the best stuff from IMDB dated 2007 movies. Concern about US release date is out the window, so the movie pool is just slightly different.
Deadline is 11:59pm EST next Thursday, May 25. Here's your categories, let's go!
