I've seen it. I'd like one I haven't seen before.

And yes, a good one preferably. Well, good is relative here. If you like it, then it's worth recommending. I realize romcoms come in greater degree of guilty pleasure. I don't need Shakespeare. I just want to be entertained.

"New York tourist Tony Curtis falls asleep on a Southern California beach on his first night in the West and wakes up to The New Phantasmagoria--catamarans, surfers (including a dog), bodybuilders, acrobats, motorcycle chicken races, a nut fishing in the shallows . . . and Sharon Tate as a skydiver named Malibu who gives Curtis the rapture of artificial respiration when he is conked on the head by a flying surfboard. This is the '60s American Dream: youth and beauty and money and sex in Southern California. Go west, all men."

    Damn. Sounds involved.

I found Serendipity to be very enjoyable in the same manner most John Cusack comedies are.

The Lady Eve. The best romantic comedy ever made in my humble opinion.

I'm not sure how strict you're defining romantic comedy, but either Love Affair, or the Case of the Missing Switchboard Operator or either of the Sasanatieng films in my signature.

^^ I've seen both. The latter is quite good.

Lesson learned so far is that I've seen too many romcoms.

Well you haven't seen Don't Make Waves so why not watch that one. It's quite good although I must confess a weakness for most things Mackendrick.

Yeah I'm thinking Love Affair doesn't quite fit the bill. Need something lighter.

So far, it's the best I've got, so I might. I'm just a little daunted by the plot is all, so I'm still fishing.

Don't let the plot worry you. It delivers.

Not just Love Affair, Love Affair, or the Case of the Missing Switchboard Operator. One title. One film. I wouldn't recommend Love Affair.
