New film from the director of the overlooked Buried.
First half or so looks excellent, then it gets a bit hammy and silly with De Niro's character. Looks interestingly lit, at least.

I rather liked Buried, so I'm looking forward to this. Like the cast (always good to see Cillian Murphy in a lead role). Reception at Sundance was mixed, but I think I'll at least enjoy it.
Fruitvale Station (Ryan Coogler) - ***
The World's End (Edgar Wright) - ***
That looks terrible. Then again, I thought Buried was rightfully overlooked.

Great rating on Little Caesar! I love those old-school gangster flicks. I went on quite a kick of them for a while last year. Found some new favorites.
I do find it hard, though, to hear Edward G. Robinson talk and not laugh, because all I hear is Chief Wiggum.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I'm in.
