INSANE!
A good summary here

So yeah, I love space. Wanted to be an astronaut as a kid, etc. etc. I'm taking an Astronomy course this semester and... this is NOT something I could do for a living. Trying to figure out celestial bodies' relation to other celestial bodies that are all spinning, orbiting, at different speeds, at different angles. My mind is soup by the end of every class.
Yeah, at the time, Astronomy was easily the hardest class I'd taken, but after a year and a half of chemistry classes, I realized I had it easy.
Just make sure to spend a little extra time on it than you might normally spend and you should be fine.
Not really "space" but still cool

Someone needs to explain this to me cuz I can't wrap my head around it.
We have liftoff!

Rocket Frog was too good for this world.
I want this NASA robot to exist and I want it to climb stuff on Mars
A solar system like ours, discovered.
It's a compressed version, but a good number of planets, small inner rocky panets, further larger gaseous planets.
This is awesome news.

Old news? Nasa building spaceship that travels faster than light. I'm sure it's far too early to start booking tickets.

If someone asks you how many planets we have in our solar system, what do you say?

Why isn't Pluto considered a planet again?
It's orbit is fucked up and goes into Neptune's orbit.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
'According to the new definition, a full-fledged planet is an object that orbits the sun and is large enough to have become round due to the force of its own gravity. In addition, a planet has to dominate the neighborhood around its orbit.
Pluto has been demoted because it does not dominate its neighborhood. Charon, its large "moon," is only about half the size of Pluto, while all the true planets are far larger than their moons.
In addition, bodies that dominate their neighborhoods, "sweep up" asteroids, comets, and other debris, clearing a path along their orbits. By contrast, Pluto's orbit is somewhat untidy.'
