Sam Raimi directed this
Could be something.
Oh whoops. Should have come here first.
It's been more than a decade ago, but if I remember correctly, the two sequels to the original Japanese book Ringu are more sci-fi than horror; they kinda blew my mind by how each sequel imposes another layer of reality on top of the previous one(s). Have always thought it'll be interesting if they adapt that.
(There's also an anthology book which contains a Ring short story; that one is horror and pretty eerie)
Midnight Run (1988) - 9
The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
Sisters (1973) - 6.5
Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5
Looks awful btw.
Blech, noooooooo thanks.
I remember some good stuff in the first two films. The third one was terrible.
This looks to bring it back to form.
I actually liked number 3 better than number 2.
But the first has become a go-to horror viewing for Jen and I.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I got really excited by that tweet, until I realized it came from someone at Collider.

Extremity- from the director of Last Shift
Never saw Last Shift cause it looked awful
Is it worth seeing?
Last Shift ain't bad. Good central performance and decent atmosphere, peters out some by the end, but unembarrassing work.
Last Shift is excellent.
Jordan Peele in Talks to Remake Clive Barker’s ‘Candyman’
A possible Bloodborne adaptation is tantalizing, but it has a lot of elements that would seem to lend themselves to large-scale set and design and effects work, so if it is that, it's quite surprising that it's been kept so secret. Makes me think it's something else.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home wine-making course and forgot how to drive?"

I'm in.
So that 47 Meters Down sequel comes out this week. Never got a trailer for it, so decided to look it up:
Honestly? This doesn’t look half bad. I was expecting more of the same, but this looks like The Descent merged with a shark movie, which could be pretty interesting to see how that works. Think I might have to check it out after all.
I'll watch it.
