You guys think they make the withdrawal?
At the end of the movie, they'll survive it all, then as they leave realize that they failed to take money out, which is why they went there in the first place. Then of course the killer pops up from the backseat, and they all scream. Cue credits.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)
Also I have to add that the ATMs I always use are at a bank, and they have cameras. So at least if some psycho murders me while I'm making a withdrawal, it'll be captured for posterity.
PS: This movie reminds me that I did have an idea for a film where a guy hitchhikes, makes the guy driving him take him to the ATM to withdraw a couple of dollars, then murders him and takes off. Then I realized it was impractical, not realistic, etc....I guess whoever made "ATM" had a better idea, at least.

Well duh. They cut the power to the ATM, blocked the door with the car and filled it with freezing water. :lol:Quoting MadMan (view post)
And despite that, I bet at least one person makes it out alive. But the killer won't be dead, of course. Even in slasher movies that never had sequels the killer often doesn't die. I'll be expecting ATM 2: Withdraw This sometime in the near future if the first ATM movie is a success. Or that won't matter: there have been three Wrong Turn sequels.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

Is there no Season 6 of 8 Films to Die For (Afterdark Film Fest)?
Maybe they're just taking their sweet time, or no one participated this year. I still haven't seen the ones I was interested in that were made last year.

Last years movies were great.

I appreciate Shimizu, but at least half that trailer is nothing and the other half is impossibly uniformly curvaceous stewardesses looking into things and screaming.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

I'm not sure what about this will "redefine horror once again" but I'm still interested. I wish they didn't use any found footage crap though...

Produced by Raimi, another exorcism movie but... I like way this looks.

Man I didn't expect cheap CGI to creep me out, but that short used its freaky moments pretty well. Hopefully the full length film builds on that clip's promise.

Tobe Hooper has directed a middle eastern horror film titled Djinn, set to be released later this year.
Synopsis: "DJINN tells the nightmarish story of a young Emirati couple who return home from the U.S. and discover that their new apartment in a luxury high-rise built on the site of an abandoned fishing village is also home to the malevolent beings known as Djinn."
The very long trailer can be found here. Gel lighting!

That looks terrible.
*sigh* Tobe Hooper...yet another legendary horror director who seems to have lost what magic he had in his earlier years.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Wait, hold those phones people! They are really f-cking up the PR for this thing.Quoting Rowland (view post)
A much realer, somewhat much better trailer (that has gotten zero publicity) is out on YouTube here.
As a Hooper fan, my judgment of this is it looks pretty typically horror movie-ish, but it also looks distinctively Hooper, so I look forward to it.
