The second pic here from Peng's post is waaaay better, probably thanks to lighting alone, but yeah this is a doozy of an impression, along with Jafar's thus-far anemic presence. I gather we'll only see Big Blue sporadically, with Smith-in-more-comforting-human-visage the more common, especially so he can be the angel on Al's shoulder walking around without scaring the shit out of people. But Jesus, the amazing lack of awareness to drop something that looks like that without giving the effects a better final touch, and as OUR FIRST VIEW, is just hilarious. I cannot wait for the memes.

The movie itself could be a giant fail tho. Easily.

Also, and this is spectacularly shallow, but Jasmine doesn't really seem depicted as outrageously beautiful as she should, or is it just me?

I'm more interested in Nasim Pedrad. No idea of what her role is, though.

    Also, Nasim could've done Jasmine.

Okay, she looks lovely in that pic, but I came away unimpressed from the "trailer," tho perhaps that had to do with it being so weak in several other areas anyway. Like a reverse "cheerleader effect."

A sequel to the most overrated film in the history of the universe that will definitely not produce a song more beloved than "Let it Go".

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Is Elsa gonna get a little girlfriend? That'd be cute.

Yeah, better for sure. Tough Jafar's voice is so annoyingly thin compared to Jonathan Freeman's in the original.

Does look much better and smoother, despite also looking wild and weird and crazy. Gonna be hard to translate this into live action, but their approach looks right. Smith basically reprising his Hitch advisor role, with magic.

I'd just stick with the cartoon if I choose to watch one of them.

Hmmm better than the teaser but still strong skepticism about continuing this after 3... (but showing THAT scene from Toy Story 3 near the end has me melt hard)

I laughed at the intro spork bit. But yeh, skepticism here too.

The spork thing is just bad. I want to be generous but ... c'mon. It's a fucking spork.

Other elements in the trailer look repetitive, like riffs on earlier material. (eg: Creepy, aggressive toys; Woody getting his head turned by a significant female character; the desire to leave home for some sort of toy utopia, etc.)

Kind of noticing they barely show any animal actually speaking (only a second of Mufasa, and then singing at the end?). Wonder if they're still doing some refinement to make it less uncanny valley at this stage...

I know this gets said every time a new movie like this pops up, but holy shit. The cgi is just uncanny, scary good. Blows me away. Visually looks just about perfect.
