Realizing I never even saw the Mulan cartoon.
Hold the fuckin phone, was that Jade Fox?..........It is! Awesome.
And I agree, I actually liked how that looked a lot, surprisingly so.

It's really good. She is a really clever girl.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
Reflection is my favorite Disney song ever. Short, gorgeous, with a great message. Gives me chills every time I hear it.
Weird Disney short where it looks like Goofy dies.
Speaking of another branching-out adaptation...

So it's now Lord of the Rings?
Mulan looks wonderful btw. And confession- never seen the original.
That’s been almost every life action Disney remake so far.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I’m surprised Mulan doesn’t have more of that.
Fantastic trailer. Made me want to see it right now.
I think this will be huge in NA, but I wonder how it will play in China? The cast has several big stars (Gong Li, Donnie Yen, Jet Li) but I wonder if they will have a "Crouching Tiger" problem, with a Chinese audience seeing the subject matter as old hat.
Critics may be hating on Lion King.
But I'm looking at YouTube comments, and there's a strong disconnect. People are especially liking Timon and Pumbaa.
I mean, critics like Timon and Pumba too, singling them out as the only characters/voiceworks that don't get subsumed by the uncanny valley.
And I dunno, I thought this was going to be a critic/audience split too, like Aladdin, but then I saw the reaction to that Hakuna Matata clip, even from the generally Disneyfied Thai internet commentators, that they feel disconcerted hard by the...too hyper-realness of it.
Doesn't mean it's not gonna make a bajillion dollars, of course.

The music for me is the wildcard here.
It would be, like, SO meta if they got Benderdick Cumanddash to play the lead.
Lady and the Tramp announcement coming in 3... 2........
It was already announced, and will be heading to Disney+.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
