Revisiting Match Cut Directors Consensus - Alfred Hitchcock

Throughout the year I will be going back and re-cataloguing the director consensus threads that were lost at the old site. This is being done because the member list of the old site has seen decent turnover since these threads were first done. Each thread will be fairly continuously updated, so any new viewings can be added to an old consensus (even if the results have already been posted) and I'll try to update the results as soon as I can.

First up, let's revisit via rankings Alfred Hitchcock, shall we. As in the other consensus threads, please list the director's work from earliest to most recent.

    The Boat People - 9
The Power of the Dog - 7.5
The King of Pigs - 7

where's the other thread? I haven't seen any more films since we've done this last and I want to copy and paste my scores.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Wow those were on the old site? I feel like they were much more recent than that. Yeh I'm gonna be honest. I didn't read one word in your post. Sorry. I just assumed it was gonna be the same as the others. My B.

TIPPI HENDREN CAN'T ACT. SHE CANNOT SAY SO MUCH AS A SINGLE LINE WITHOUT ME WANTING TO PECK OUT HER EYES LIKE I'M A DEMENTED PSYCHOPATHIC PIGEON.

Other than that, The Birds is okay. Marnie is crap all around, though. Man, I hate that film. Seriously.

Seen a ton of Hitchcock, yet I have a ton still waiting to be seen. Outside of Allen, can't think of a director that has that many movies.

    The Coen's are getting there.

For the record, Rear Window is the only one that made the Hall of Fame before with a 9.207.

Spielberg's the only one that comes to mind for me.

Takashi Miike. Yoji Yamada. Michael Curtiz. Steven Soderbergh is getting there. Lots of studio system Hollywood directors.
