    Election 2012

    So this is starting.

Ron Paul announced yesterday (yay!), but the real news here being that Mike Huckabee just announced that he won't be running for President. So I'm making this thread to say:

YES JESUS HOLY GOD THANK YOU THANK YOU PRAISE YOUR NAME
‎The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Trump says he's not running. Not surprising.

But, like, if he did, he'd totally win.

What an insufferable blowhard. Maybe we'll be lucky and the Republicans won't run anybody this year.

The GOP has a terrible bunch of candidates. They should just throw in the towel for 2012, and focus on 2016 when both parties will be nominating new candidates and everything will be wide open.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

The GOP has Ron Paul, the best candidate by a wide margin.

Candidates that actually have a chance at winning an election though.

If recent polls are to be believed, he has the best chance of beating Obama of all Republican candidates. I'd call that having a chance.

My biggest worry though if somehow Paul does become President, is Bernanke would almost surely try and crash the economy through some monetary shock to discredit Paul.

The trouble being he has almost no shot of being the Republican candidate that would face Obama. Nate Silver tried some recent polling handicapping and came up with a generous 5.5% chance of him winning the nom since no other niche candidate like him has ever won a primary.

Polls don't mean much when you've got no chance in hell of actually getting the nomination.

Here's my rankings of Republican hopefuls:

    1. Ron Paul - Easily the greatest person to ever serve (and by serve I mean try and dismantle the government) in congress.
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    2. Gary Johnson - Generally Libertarian, and would probably actually try and reverse the course of government, for realz yo.

    .
    3. Hermain Cain - I mean, I suppose running a business is a good sign. Except he was a high ranking Fed official. Yeah, that's going to solve nothing.

    4. Tim Pawlenty - Could you have a more boring candidate?

    5. Mitch Daniels - Establishment piece of shit.

    6. Sarah Palin - The title of her book makes me want to gouge my eyes out. The only redeeming quality of her is that I called her pick for VP, so she gets me some street credit with my political analysis .

    7. Rudy Giuliani - He is clearly a psychopath incapable of any type of critical thought. He would probably search for terrorists in the White House and have them hand delivered to the oval office so he can personally execute them.

    8. Newt Gingrich - A ridiculous faux-intellectual blow-hard hypocrite. A fucking travesty to any semblance of consistency. Pretends to be a small government person but praises and loves FDR. He's either a fucking moron or just a great liar and manipulator.

    9. Mitt Romney - Is thee any doubt he exists solely to give out special favors to his buddies and corporations by implementing fascist policies while in office?

    10. Rick Santorum - Never even paid attention to him before he was at the debate. Clearly an overt racist, gay hater, warmongering, genocidal right wing social engineer. Probably masturbates in his sleep to the thought of cops forcing you to read the Bible while watching Fox News and his dream war on Iran while torturing gays.

Have you ever thought of doing an AM-radio style podcast, Barty?

I think that's the most generous ranking you could possibly give Sarah Palin.

Yes. But I find it hard enough to motivate myself to put them together.

High risk, high reward. She's so off the rocker so could possibly not be an establishment goon.

Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag.
Literally makes me want to burn the flag right now. I don't think there's anything dumber than that title. Reflections on the stupid flag? Fuck you Sarah Palin.
