They Might Be Giants performing their album Flood is tonight!

    Hell yes.

Bought pre-sale tickets to U2's 2010 Meadowlands tour date that I plan on scalping to the highest bidding fan I can find. I really have no interest in going to the show myself.

Going to see Dan Auerbach and Justin Townes Earle tonight in Boston. I've already seen Earle live and he was fantastic. It seems inevitable that Auerbach will completely rock. So this should be a good one.

Speaking of shows that would have been a lot cooler in 1993, I'm going to see the motherfucking Pixies in two weeks! Whoooo!

Yeah, if only I could've seen them then.
    I still have high expectations.
Pixies are really good live, saw them twice (at festivals).

So Dan Auerbach was amazing. Great band, great vibe, and totally loud and rocking. Justin Townes Earle was great as always. He has a great energy on stage that leaves you wanting more every time.

Neko Case tomorrow and I can't wait.

Yeah... He definitely got the storytelling gene from Steve. Justin just gets up there, acoustic guitar in hand, and sings his heart out. His album "Midnight at the Movies" is a decent representation of his music, although when he plays the stuff live it's much more urgent and energetic. I've never seen him with a band. It has only been him, the guitar and the audience.

I don't think I could ever tolerate Springsteen's hamminess for more than 10 minutes. Also not a huge fan of his music but some stuff isn't bad.

Yeah, I'm going to do my best to tune that stuff out. I love his classic stuff, but his recent output leaves a lot to be desired. I'm hoping he keeps that to a minimum. And hopefully he takes advantage of the fact that it's Friday the 13th and throws a twist into the show. Should be a good time either way.

Whoooo! So thanksgiving with the fam was nice and all, but it didn't quite match spending that evening seeing the Pixies burning through Doolittle at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Maybe the best show I've ever been to, but I was also drunk and it was like 1:30 in the morning, so who really knows?

So I saw Metric and Band of Skulls tonight, was a pretty enjoyable show. The best part was actually getting to hang out with all of them afterwards(minus Emily Haines of course).

Seriously considering Parliament Funkadelic on valentine's day. $50 though, and I'm dirt, dirt poor.

Heh. I'm going with this woman I'm trying to bone and she's a fan of the new LP.

I guess we shall see with regards to their liveness, but at least the Deerhunter should be pretty neat.
