    Hole in One

I couldn't come up with anything less cliche, aside from "The 19th Hole." So sue me :P

Anyways, anyone currently watching the Masters? I'm annoyed that I will miss the final round because of a wedding on Sunday, but I'll still tune in for as much as possible. Especially since CBS is streaming it live on their website.

Oh and my favorite golfers all time are Ernie Els, The Golden Bear, Lefty, Tiger, and currently probably McIlroy and Bubba Watson. Also I'm biased in favor of Zach Johnson, due to the fact that he's from Iowa, and also I like Sergio when he's not acting like a douche.

Then I'd have to listen to Jim Nantz for hours on end.

    Or mute it I guess.

I just ignore his voice, and focus on what's on screen. I have no idea who Quiros is, but him and McIlroy were at the top of the leaderboard yesterday.

McIlroy is continuing to build upon his lead, and play lights out golf. The kid's a stud.

It is remarkably lame that on Saturday at the Masters, CBS' coverage doesn't start until 3:30, 45 minutes after the leaders have tee'd off.

Because apparently CBS doesn't have any goddamn common sense.

Today will let us know if Tiger's surge is just limited to one good day, or if he still has the skill level to make a run at McIlroy. I was surprised to see KJ Choi doing well, considering I can't remember the last time he won anything, and Fred Couples in the Top 10 is awesome, even if I don't think he'll maintain it.

Ugh. Anyone but Tiger. Seriously, I couldn't stomach seeing that smug look on his face when Phil puts the jacket on him.

    Why the Masters is Unique

    8. Limited television coverage: With the other majors, TV broadcasts 8-10 hours per day for the first two rounds and 6-8 hours on the weekend. With the Masters you just get a daily 4 ½ hours Thursday and Friday with 3 ½ hours on Saturday, and it wasn’t until recently that CBS showed the last group’s entire Sunday round. This makes it a truly special event for those in attendance.

I am not opposed to Tiger winning, but I'm a fan of McIlroy (his swing and balance are sensational) and really want to see him win.

Tiger winning is the best thing that could happen for the PGA again.

Tiger winning is not the worst part. ESPN discussing Tiger ad nauseum is the worst part.

Guilty as charged. I've never been a fan, long before his indiscretions were made public. His "win for the ages" in 1997 was an incredibly boring runaway tournament. And as a golf fanatic, I get sick of the "all Tiger all the time" slant of golf broadcasts. (Today, of course, it's warranted.)

Wow, McIlroy has just come undone. Triple bogey, double bogey. Painful to watch.

Edit: And he just hit the ball in the Ray's Creek. Poor guy.

Now he just drove it in the water. It's shocking. They need to stop showing him.

i've never liked mcilroy, he's always seemed rather arrogant to me. of the young guys i really like ishikawa, i think he's going to be a major force in a couple years. this goes up there with van de velde and mickelson at winged foot when it comes to complete meltdowns.

as for tiger, do you guys really think he's going to go the rest of his career without winning another major? it probably won't happen today, but it's going to happen eventually. deal with it.

My favorite has been Jason Day after he made Paul Casey make a one-foot putt in match-play just to mess with him.

I'll deal with it, but that doesn't mean I'll like it.

Raiders, it looks like CBS took your advice.

Congrats, Charl Schwartzel. Great final round of golf. MadMan, I'm also a huge fan of Ernie Els, so I always tend to root for the South African golfers.

i was pulling for the australians during the home stretch (mostly day due to my aversion to long putters) but hats off to mr. schwartzel.
