"The Top 10 Films of 2007 That You Never Heard Of"

My uncle sent me this article from PopMatters.com

In case you don't want to read the article, here's the list:

    10.) Pervert! (Jonathan Yudis)
09.) Disaster!: The Movie (Roy T. Wood)
    08.) Knee Deep (Michael Chandler)
    07.) Deadwood Park (Eric Stanze)
06.) Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (Scott Glosserman)
    05.) SpaceDisco-One (Damon Packard)
04.) The Blood Shed (Alan Rowe Kelly)
03.) Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (Lloyd Kaufman)
    02.) Special Needs (Isaak James)
01.) The Legend of God's Gun (Mike Bruce)

Most of them look pretty terrible, but I have to give props for acknowledging Behind the Mask.

Poultrygeist looks at least a little less abysmal, since it got some OK reviews, and is directed by Lloyd Kaufman so at least it's meant to be fun(ny).

Special Needs has gotten very good reviews, as well.

Has anyone seen any of these?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

I've seen Behind the Mask, which wasn't very good, but had some redeemable qualities.

Heh. This article is written by Bill Gibron. He has never struck me as wielding the most discerning taste.

I watched the first twenty minutes of Pervert! That's as much as I was able to will myself through. On the other hand, I have heard positive word elsewhere for Deadwood Park, which resides on my Netflix queue.
    Letterboxd rating scale:
    The Long Riders (Hill) ***
    Furious 7 (Wan) **½
    Hard Times (Hill) ****½
    Another 48 Hrs. (Hill) ***
    /48 Hrs./ (Hill) ***½
The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec (Besson) ***
    /Unknown/ (Collet-Serra) ***½
    Animal (Simmons) **

I've watched some of these, and I have no idea why anyone would like Pervert or Disaster!: The Movie, nevermind putting them in a top 2.
    Quote Quoting Donald Glover
I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

For a second, I thought Pervert! was a shortened title for A Pervert's Guide to Cinema, the Zizek documentary, but since that's obviously not the case (I have some serious sleeping to do), no, I haven't heard of a single one of those.
    Just because...
The Fabelmans (Steven Spielberg, 2022) mild
Petite maman (Céline Sciamma, 2021) mild
The Banshees of Inisherin (Martin McDonagh, 2022) mild

The last book I read was...
The Complete Short Stories by Mark Twain

Although it is true that I have not heard of these movies, based on the titles, I think I will stick to the movies I have heard of.

Most people haven't heard of Khadak. Why hasn't he gone to see it?
