Someone combined the teaser clips together.

It looks, uh.......very John Wick. So much so that when it shows something distinctly Matrixlike, it's almost jarring.
It's almost like he couldn't be bothered to cut his hair or shave because of the shooting of John Wick 4.

I'm also very concerned about the retreads I'm seeing.

I'm also very concerned about the lack of greenish hue inside the Matrix.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

He shaved his head for this, so I doubt his hairstyle is due to John Wick.

    I have a theory...

I think we're going to see the line between the real world and the matrix blurred. Maybe that will account for the lack of green hue.

I think this is going to flip everything we think we know about the series on its head.

Marketing is cool. Footage is meh. The state of the Matrix omniverse and reboots in general suggests this will be bad, but I am not counting it out entirely. Lana Wachowski's involvement instills some hope. If reviews are medium/good, I will watch.

I say we take stabs at the plot. I was having a bev and a smoke and chatting with wife...what if Neo and Trinity are the new Matrix interpretations of the Oracle? That could be interesting.

I was thinking just now that maybe Neo is training Morpheus this time? Morpheus is The One now?

It's gotta be what the architect said.. that its a cyclical event where zion gets destroyed, rebuilt, new matrix, rinse repeat...

Or they'll take a page out of Rick and Morty... a matrix within a matrix.

So, uh....heard that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is playing Morpheus.

Yeah, I don't see who else he could be playing.

And great choice. He's fantastic. Rocked it in Watchmen, and I'm dying to see Candyman.

I'm also curious if (and how) this will continue the series' transgender allegory.

I've been rewatching bits and pieces of the Matrix 2 & 3 because they on Pluto...I still like them. They're more weird than bad like I hear from most critics, and they have some sweet ideas. And both have some killer action scenes. That freeway scene is gonzo

    Yeah, they're cool movies.

I loved The Animatrix, too. Some awesome music.

A young Morpheus so the cyclical idea might be within.

This is a really cool video essay that goes into the original trilogy's transgenderism allegory.

Totally worth the watch for anyone interested in that side of the series (which was / is 100% intended by the Wachowski's since day 1).

I'm going down a deep rabbit hole with this stuff. While it has been common knowledge that the Wachowski's are trans gender, I had no idea how much these movies mean to people in the trans/non binary world.

    Super cool.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. This is all still so new for people to be able to openly talk about and discuss.

I imagine that's why the Wachowski's themselves didn't discuss this side of it much in 99/03. I doubt WB would be stoked to hear the directors of their biggest action franchise saying that it's about LGBTQ+ issues at that point in time.

I wonder...do you think the Wachowski's held off on personally coming out until they finished the trilogy? That would be terrible.

I would like to see a video essay about transgenderism allegory made before the Wachowskis or Caitlyn Jenner came out.

How do you mean? Like you are suspicious about this having been intended from the beginning?

No. It was far less obvious before they came out, and therefore would've required a particularly discerning eye for the relevant details. It would have a shit-ton of credibility for me.

Kept thinking the shot from underneath the chopper with the spent cartridges falling towards the camera was a carbon copy of Morpheus' rescue in the first one. Maybe that means something or they've gotten really lazy.
