For the 900000th time, Lana Wachowski says she is “officially” working on another Matrix movie.

Call me when there’s a trailer.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Came into the thread solely for Meg's "I'll believe it when it happens" post and was not disappointed.

Also, making sequels 20 years after the fact worked out oh so totally fine for "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars" so I'm sure "Matrix 4" will be fine. Just fine. No need to worry. Really. It'll be fine.

It didn't even work 4 years after the fact.

I feel like the expectation will be that they do something revolutionary to action films again.

In 1999 CGI was much MUCH less prominent than now. Bullet time was an enormous deal and reinvented special effects.

What could possibly be done now that hasn’t been possible before (or at least was never thought of).

The bullet time thing was revolutionary sure, but you can create literally any story from living inside a computer. I just want to see bat-shit crazy choreography that defy the laws of physics.
This super bowl commercial will go down as my most watched trailer ever.

Also, seems crazy now to release two sequels in the same year, separated by only 6 months. I can't help think Revolutions would have received a better box office draw if it was released in May of the following year.

I think Revolutions would have had a better box office draw if it and Reloaded hadn’t been such misguided disappointments.

The final fight between Neo and Smith is the only halfway decent part.

I really hope they get back to gunfights. Reloaded and Revolutions became all about hand-to-hand, which was cool and all, but it felt like it lost a bit of the first film’s identity.

There really needs to be a solid documentary about stuntmen.

I appreciate the reaction videos that The Corridor Crew has been putting out on YouTube because they often get really awesome stuntmen an opportunity to explain and analyze some of the best stunts ever.

    Watched the original last night.

It holds up beautifully. It's a visually stunning movie.

Production has been shut down indefinitely.

They say it's due to corona, but this is the first time I've seen them say the word "indefinitely".

Is this one not going to see the light of day?

The whole pandemic thing is indefinite, so it only makes sense to indefinitely postpone.
