I'm not the biggest Cronenberg fan, but this is going to be a good movie

I gotta be honest, I'm not all that excited for this. Reeks of standard biopic territory. He should've stuck with Cosmopolis.

Any movie with a plot synopsis that contains the line "....and the [ADJ] woman who comes between them" is already close to losing me.

Mm, yeah. I'm not sure it makes much sense, but I don't care for that line in any synopsis.Quoting transmogrifier (view post)

I can't say I've ever seen Cronenberg go the "standard" route. I look forward to it.
Everything he's done this decade has been pretty standard fare, granted still good.Quoting Ezee E (view post)

Spider is very unconventional.Quoting Brightside (view post)
History of Violence and Eastern Promises may not be a Naked Lunch or Videodrone but they sure are better and more far out then your standard mafia movie
I might grant you Spider, but the other two seem like pretty standard fare to me.Quoting Ezee E (view post)

The cast is great, and of course I like Cronenberg. The subject material actually sounds like something he would cover, so that's either a knock against the movie or my willingness to trust him with anything at this point. I'm going with the latter.
