Don't worry. Once every network and studio has their own streaming service, there will be a company, possibly called DirectStream, that will start offering bundled packages of access to 100+ streaming services. But you may have to pay extra to get access to the most in-demand ones like Showtime Anytime and HBO Now.

Cable can probably earn back some goodwill just by telling people how much their service actually costs. Their pricing is better guarded than government emails.

The various streaming services are turning into cable Ã* la carte, and it probably is a more expensive way to pay for content if you want a lot of options. But at the very least, it's fairly easy to understand what they cost, and that's the advantage they'll continue to have over cable.
