Denis Lavant is maybe the greatest purely physical actor working today. Don't think the boners don't play into that assessment.

Ninja motorcycle gang. If those three words don't entice a viewing, you're dead inside. This movie is so fucking great.

Watched it last night. It doesn't reach the awesome levels of The Room or Troll 2 but it's fun to watch. Needed less action scenes though. If I ever rewatched it I'd FF the action scenes they were just straight up boring instead of the badly awesome the rest of the scenes were.

Only through the elimination of violence can we achieve world peace.

"I don't think this is the welcome wagon." That movie kicked ass (I just watched it on Instant Viewing tonight). I would love to see a double bill of Riki-Oh and Miami Connection.

Looks like we're losing some Masterpiece Theatre-ish stuff like Upstairs, Downstairs and Downton Abbey. I enjoyed the two episodes of Poldark I saw.

Branded appears to have just been added. In case nobody remembers (shock!), it's supposed to be a sci-fi-ish satire about advertising that had a compelling trailer, but was destroyed by reviewers. Most of them said it was dull and occasionally funny for all the wrong reasons. I'm still curious.

Downton Abbey is going exclusive to Amazon.

Seeing Madea's Witness Protection in my top 10 recommendations reminds me 2 things: 1) Netflix has no clue about what I want to watch, and 2) Goddamn there's a lot of Madea movies, and I have zero desire to see any of them.

Netflix thinks I would love My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. I really don't want to be one of those guys.

Mine does too, but that's because my 4 year old watches that stuff all the time.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I did. I never intended to start the film, but I thought "what the hell, it can't be that bad, can it?" I really don't like mindless action films, and Expendibles is made to be exactly that. All of the stars in it are stars of movies I generally avoid.

Ah, I see. That's understandable then. The only films I turn off that quick begin with "The Asylum presents..."

Thanks to number8's "30 overlooked films of the last 3 years" article, I sought out and found that Dogtooth, Bellflower, and The Unjust are all available to stream. Thanks, 8.
