I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Speaking of HBO, they have the worst streaming quality out of the big three. (netflix, amazon, hbo go)

When is HBO going to realize that they are not competing with Netflix? They are competing against the Pirate Bay.

What? What does that even mean? Of course their competition is other content providers.

It means it doesn't matter, because people who want to see their content will get it by the easiest means necessary. Check Netflix. Not there? Check Hulu. Not there? Checked out at Redbox/video store? Fuck it, Pirate Bay.

They're still playing by the old rules.

I doubt they'll even be around another 10 years in their current form.

Cable television as these dinosaurs know it is dying fast.

Kind of interesting. The cropped version of Ghost Protocol shows more of the IMAX frame than the Blu-ray does.

HBO's very clearly trying to adapt to the streaming market with HBOGo, and given Netflix's newfound interest in original programming (Lilyhammer, Arrested Development, etc.), I think it's fair to call the two competitors.

Yep. Until then, I don't care. Not paying for their channel, which is $15/month.

A good friend of mine generously offered me access to his HBO Go account when he moved down here. Needless to say, it's awesome.

Hmm, apparently not all ISPs support it. Only Cablevision/Optimum and Google Fiber in the US so far

Shit, I lucked out big time. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

I just received an e-mail from Netflix informing me that Dr. Seuss' The Lorax is now available on streaming. I ad successfully forgetten its existence, and now they're taunting me; I almost feel provoked to cancel my subscription.
I'm writing for Slant Magazine now, so check out my list of reviews.

Hopefully I'll have the energy to update my signature soon.

Holy shit. Netflix just signed a deal with Turner, which will include shows from TNT, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim.

    Which means...

Complete past seasons of Cartoon Network shows such as Adventure Time, Ben 10, Regular Show, Johnny Bravo, and Warner Bros. Animation's Green Lantern will be made available on the Netflix "Just for Kids" section beginning March 30.

At the same time, Adult Swim shows like Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, as well as Sony Pictures Television's The Boondocks, and Childrens Hospital from WBTVG's Studio 2.0 will also hit Netflix.

    Fuck. Yes.

Think about all the possible fucking shows included in this. Cow & Chicken? Dexter's Lab?

    Motherfucking Justice League?

    AND The Powerpuff Girls.

Don't give me that look. Either way, this news is awesome.

I own every season of that show aside from the currently airing fourth season. My entire family absolutely loves it, wife included (who usually doesn't go for that sort of thing). It is random zaniness, but with characters that display such genuine solicitude that it's seemingly impossible not to make an emotional connection. Oh, and it's downright hilarious.

I know, I've watched most of the episodes, but always random samplings of them whenever I get the chance. I can't wait to be able to sit down and just run through them.
