A boo to you, good sir. While the final season of Hannibal never hits the heights of the first two seasons, I always loved how audacious it was in weaving together experimental art collage--and a fairly steamy love scene--alongside more traditional procedural elements. I suppose there's something unbelievable in most not suspecting Lecter as the ultimate bad, but I found that this series was a great TV experiment in allowing that not everyone would be on its wavelength.
I'd personally put S3 of Hannibal above S1, particularly for the [
    ] arc.

S2 is still the best of all. Nearly perfect.

I was really into season 1 as a prequel to Manhunter, season two was okay until it started dipping into the movie plot, and now I'm falling asleep while playing games on my phone. I don't see the point? The movies exist and did it better. I'm just not interested in a 14 hour version of Manhunter. Manhunter and Red Dragon did it fine in movie-length time. Its not that its poorly made, I'm disinterested. I know I'm way alone on this island, but I'm ready for this to be over so we can get on with rewatching the movies.

Me and Skutch, on an island with one coconut tree, debating which toes we eat first. Unsure if to laugh or descend directly into madness.

Saving S3 of Hannibal for the Fall - seems like a better fit. I can only take so much creativeness during any period of time.

Hannibal leaves real world behind definitively some time in Season 2 and is all the better for it. Not surprised that it's not for everyone (although I see it mostly beloved), but very surprised that from Skitch's post it seems like he watches it mostly for the plot, when I thought the (more common) complaint, if there is any, is that the style becomes the whole show.
    Midnight Run (1988) - 9
    The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
    The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
    Sisters (1973) - 6.5
    Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5

Consider myself "disinterested" as well. Seems like the more I hear about it the less it seems like something I'd spend time on.

I've been accused on more than one occasion of liking movies that are style over substance and was a fool for it. Now its okay to like style-over-substance?

I predict Kristin Scott Thomas will be one of the only truly good parts of this.

Hey, anyone else watching "The Taco Chronicles" on Netflix? Because it's wholesome as fuck.
