Great Odin's Raven, just seeing the logos is a beautiful thing.
Chadwick Boseman is Black Panther. Haha, Jackie Robinson, then James Brown, now T'challa. This guy is not shy about being black pioneers.

Nothing solo for Hulk, Black Widow, or Hawkeye, but I assume they might be bringing some of them in as second banana in the solo films.

What was the joke with Serpent Society?
They confirmed he'll appear in costume in Civil War, so I'm assuming this will more or less be how he looks.Quoting number8 (view post)
Once his solo film gets a helmer, it'll likely change. I mean, look how drastically different Cap's designs have been each time.
It's just a villain group and storyline from the comics from the '70s and '80s that I'm assuming no one really cares about (I had to look it up), so putting that out there instead of the heavily rumoured Civil War / Fallen Son lowered everyone's expectations a bit, before bringing out Evans, Downey, and Boseman after everything to confirm it actually will be what everyone wanted.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

There's no joke. When he revealed the Phase 3 line-up that was the first one and it was called Serpent Society. Then at the end of the event after talking about all the other films, Joss Whedon introduced a clip from Age of Ultron that has Tony and Steve being angry and arguing with each other. After the clip, Feige said he lied earlier and Cap 3 is actually Civil War.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

While my uber fandom for Genis-Vell will always want that movie, I really hope it's the female Captain Marvel?
Feige confirmed at the event that it's Carol Danvers. And of course it is. She's considerably far more popular than any other Captain Marvels.

Or just this trailer I guess...
...won't last long, I bet. Unless they release a better version.

I'm not at all familiar with the Inhumans, so when I read the announcement I thought of that bad video game from 2005 called "Rise of the Imperfects", and I was all like "why the hell are they making a movie about them??"
I get the Inhumans confused with Avengers A.I..
I'm worried about Phase 3- They need a big star like RDJ to carry this phase.
The Inhumans 12 issue series by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee is one of the most critically acclaimed Marvel series of the last 20 years you guys should check it out. Black Bolt is the truth.

My god this is going to be fun.
Also, did they talk about if Whedon will have a role in Phase 3? Worried about that as well.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Introducing the Inhumans and the concept of the terrigen mist is such a smart idea to basically make up for not having mutants.
They're definitely already planning for future offshoots off of that. The Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel would be a good bet for something they'd do about 5 years from now.
This is something that Disney/Marvel really has over the other studios. They have such vast library to stand in for the popular characters they've lost, as long as they have the balls to reach deep (I think GOTG was definitely their test run and has given them to confidence to do more of that). Sony and Fox should know that they're trying to win with a limited and arguably depleted resource at this point.
DC may be able to hold a candle if they can get over their Batman obsession.
Movie Theater DiaryQuoting Donald Glover
Hoping Beta Ray Bill makes an appearance in the next Thor movie. That would be fantastic.
I couldn't help it. I watched this. And I don't regret it. Whedon does such a good job setting tone for a scene.
Interesting that this follows DC's recent mega-announcement.
I've long been curious about Black Panther. Very glad that it's finally happening!
Who would everyone like to see direct these films? I mean, besides Cap 3 and GOTG 2, I don't think there's been anything firm on who will helm these right?
