    A few thoughts:

    First trailer was better.

I really hope that horrible dub of Leung is not indicative of the final product.

I am SO. EFFING. TIRED. of fight scenes set to rap music. It is so dated and cringe. Please stop with this.

I think it's pretty cool that media is covering him as a new hot actor/ hunky guy. That is so freaking rare in western media, for an East Asian man (who isn't half white) to be presented as attractive and sexy.

Overall I'm looking forward to it. Hope its fight scenes deliver.

I really like the idea that if you land a role in the MCU, they'll bring you back to keep playing that character in other titles.

    ...

    Unless you're Ed Norton ...

Yeah, amazing how few people want to work with you when you are an absolute nightmare to work with.

I always felt like Norton just totally bought into his own press for Primal Fear, and never came back down from the clouds.

I felt like it was a Fincher/alien3/Fox situation. They asked him to do rewrites, approved, then immediately started changing it. Thats how I remember it.

I haven't heard much positivity from anyone about working with Norton.

He's a control freak who tries to wrestle control of productions away from directors, and make them vanity projects for himself.

This goes back at least as far as American History X, where it was very well documented that he basically tried to make it EDWARD NORTON'S AMERICAN HISTORY X STARRING EDWARD NORTON

You may be right, I just haven't heard that. I haven't looked into it either though.

That was Norton's story. Every other director who's worked with Feige has said he was very easy to work with. James Gunn said he was given a ton of creative control over the Guardians movies. Let's not ignore the fact that Norton is an excellent performer, it just seems a bit like one of those Val Kilmer situations where a great performer lets it go to his head.

Everything I have read and seen about Norton's Incredible Hulk stuff has pointed to him trying to take over the entire production from Leterrier. Attempting to overrule his directorial decisions, communicating with the studio behind his back and trying to change major points of the film. I remember a Leterrier interview a few years after the film came out and Marvel hit it big, where he described Norton's behavior as being "a back-seat director".

Not to mention his incredibly arrogant and frankly insulting public attitude towards Lee's 2003 film. I remember one interview where he said "I'm here to take this franchise out of the fucking basement".

I think "let it go to his head" is a massive understatement. The dude is disrespectful and unprofessional.

SKitch is right. He was told he could have a writing credit in the film and submitted a draft under the pseudonym Edward Harrison (which you can clearly see in the POSTER next to the Zak Penn writing credit) and handed over a script that the WGA. The WGA eventually only gave solo screenplay credit to Penn, because most of Norton's contributions were cut them from the final film, even though he was told he could have significant say with creative control. He had turned down the role initially but Marvel essentially begged him to talk to the director.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Well Norton lost that battle. And the end result is The Incredible Hulk movie we got. Soooooo.....hurray, studios?

And remember, Feige wasn't entirely in control at that point (I think?). It was that other creepo.

Oh I thought he was actively involved in all the Tom Holland Spider-Man stuff, and Venom.

Speaking of Venom, we watched it again a week or two ago. Improved hugely on second viewing.

In fact...I kinda liked it, especially when viewerd as a monster movie instead of a superhero / comic book thing. As a PG-13 monster movie with some light body horror, it works.

What I will never change my mind on, though, is Eminem's song. That is EMBARASSING. Holy God what a bad song.

I've watched and enjoyed that Venom movie like 4 times. I wouldn't say its the greatest thing ever, but Hardy makes me laugh. The whole concept is bananas, and I like it.

Just joking. You said I must be thinking of Amy Pascal, as a reply to my thing about Avi Arad. Was joking that you were saying it was Pascal who did the Venom song.

I like that Stephen Dorff took time in an interview to say how much he hates Marvel stuff, and that he is "embarassed" for Scarlett Johansson being in these movies.

    Nobody asked you, bro.

Also, pretty sure you owe like 99.9999% of your career to being in a Marvel movie.

    What a tool.
