Gilliam v Black Panther ...thoughts?
Movies will still exist (going to 4 MCU movies a year), there will just be more crossover by leveraging Disney+, which Fiege now owns.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
I agree with those who have said they don’t think they will ever recapture they magic they had with the original team, and building up to Thanos.
4 a year? All in theater. Yikes.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
But all about Punisher/Blade crossover.
Starting in 2021.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange 2, Spider-Man 3 and Thor: Love and Thunder
I really hope Doctor Strange 2 involves some Lovecraft stuff, and it’s not just a cute title.
He clearly doesn't get what the actual message of positivity of that movie is. He's not wrong on the topic of there seemingly being only sub-$10 million and $150 million movies.Quoting Skitch (view post)

Terrible movie, but not for the reasons Gilliam gives.Quoting Skitch (view post)

He's absolutely right. I don't get what being old or white would have to do with it. If anything, having so many career years as a committed and vanguardist filmmaker makes his opinion all the more valid.
“We don’t want to give hope to little black kids in Africa” is a pretty fucked up reason for disliking Black Panther.
I think he's just saying it's a phony Hollywood message. He's not against African population hahah.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
I know what he’s saying, and it’s stupid and messed up.
Apparently, Scorcese's daughter wrapped his Christmas presents in Marvel wrapping paper.

:Insert Scorsese laugh:
So wife and I have been going through the MCU in order (because Disney+)...
1. Cap is still my favorite.
2. Phase one I havent come to dislike Stark yet. I will. Iron Man 2 still keeps moving upward with rewatch, it's just not as bad as thought.
3. Up to Avengers now. No disrespect to Branaugh, but Joss slays Asguardian dialogue. He totally gets the perfect mix between the Shakespearean of it and not overblowing it for the modern era.

You want more thoughts? Or you mean keep up with the binge?Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
More post binge thoughts after each movie.
More thoughts please
Okay. We put a pin in Avengers for tonight. Will pickup tomorrow again. We left off right about the mewling quim of it when all hell is about to break loose.
I love the entire Captain America trilogy. Plus I'll still defend Iron Man 2.

More Avengers thoughts...
-"You fell all big and green and buck nude." Is still a hilarious delivery.
- yes the hulk punch thor is funny, but theres a great moment right before that. They're riding the giant flying monster. Hulk rips off a giant shard of its armor, and crams it straight in its skull-piece. Thor leaps in the air and hammers it straight into its brain. Sooooo cool.
-another cap moment I love is when he leaps into the air to squeeze as much of his body behind his shield to protect from alien grenade thing. So cool.
-they need the tesseract to get back to asgard... remind me when in the timeline the rainbow road is rebuilt? Not a complaint, I just dont remember.
Random thoughts...I know, it's just a superhero movie....but even being in iron man armor, wouldn't the sheer force of being thrown around and through things still break your ass? Not a real complaint, just thinking. Also Black widow getting backhanded by Hulk like she did, shes lucky to be alive. Ditto her not getting her arms ripped off by going from zero to hundred mph at least grabbing on the flying alien whatever.
