You have a Calvin & Hobbes avatar so you've read another form of comic book - the comic strip.
Calvin and Hobbes is awesome.Quoting Grouchy (view post)

I own that big boy and have read it twice. It's the best comic book I've ever read.Quoting Grouchy (view post)
Not in its entirety. In my youth, my friends and I would smoke a joint and read excerpts from Irvine Welsh novels and laugh our asses off. Also random, thoughts on the film Filth? I seem to be minority but really liked it.Quoting Irish (view post)
There you go then. Comics explained.Quoting transmogrifier (view post)
ya'll seem to forget that this is the closing chapter of 11 years worth of story w/ this core group. there will be "consequential deaths" — as consequential as a comic book story death can be. but more because RDJ ain't getting any younger. and Evans doesn't seem to want to keep going so I would assume he's gonna give the ultimate sacrifice.Quoting Skitch (view post)
and yeah, trailer doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know. FUCKING GOOD. I don't want to know anything more. actually we 'know' from this trailer now that Ant Man gets out of the Quantum Realm somehow. that's it. good.
The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.
So...to recap...your post...
-We all forget the MCUs history
-I dont know the original story so I have no basis for my blind stab prediction (as I previously stated)
-You agree with my prediction
Alrighty then
My bet is that RDJ is going to be out of the movies for a while. Why? He's getting too old and too fucking expensive and the character already has a young Iron Lady in the canon to draw more sequels from. Whether that's going to happen through death or through some form of retirement is anyone's guess.
I don't think they're gonna kill Steve Rogers.
Saw it once and don't remember it too well, but I liked McAvoy in the lead and I was disappointed (?!) in the ending.Quoting Skitch (view post)
Downey's problem is that he has nowhere to go. Anything he does outside the MCU will feel insubstantial; it'll be a step down in money and adulation.Quoting Grouchy (view post)
He is a few years younger than Tom Cruise, and Cruise is still churning out "Mission Impossible" movies, so why can't RDJ live inside the Marvelverse forever?
Has Downey ever said he's wanting to stop? I feel like he's been on record saying he only wants to do giant-budget movies because of how organized they are, and he knows he'll be treated well as an actor. I feel like he'll do Tony Stark for as long as it takes.
Ruffalo and Evans have shared they'd like to do other things I believe.
What I don't understand is why they haven't done an Iron Man 4 yet. Those movies are money in the bank, and you only need RDJ. You don't need a cast of characters for it to be successful. Pay the man and make a billion more dollars.
And give us a real frickin' Mandarin!! C'mon!! Seems the best easiest play. You've got the magic side involved in the MCU, just do it!!
I think they're going to have to kill some of the original six Avengers, given how carefully Thanos' snap leaves them all behind. It seems way too convenient that all the Marvel newbs that we know have long-term contracts are the ones that bite the dust. Stark's sacrifices himself to save Parker, Cap for Panther, etc. But that's a guess, and hopefully that isn't what happens given that what thematic stuff there was in Infinity War was about the sin of "trading lives."Quoting Grouchy (view post)
Odds of villain baddies being used in Phase 4

What about Mojo?Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I still want Beta Ray Bill to show up.
If it isn't Galactus, could only be bringing in the X-Men and doing some type of Onslaught approach or redoing Apocalypse.
Would love to see a smaller scale take on Mojo or Arcade though.
How long do you think til a new Wolverine is cast?
2020.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Yeah it can’t be too long away. I’m thinking a total recreation of the character, not aping Jackman in any way.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
I bet he's already cast and Marvel is just waiting to announce everything at Phase 4.
