General Ross lookin' like Matthew Modine. Or someone who grew up in Hitler Youth.

This should've come out a decade ago, then I wouldn't know whether or not Black Widow would overcome whatever obstacle is in this movie.

Looks like other hot-female-spy movies, especially "Red Sparrow" and "Atomic Blonde."

Even the poster is reminiscent of Red Sparrow.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I don’t understand why they are mimicking Red Sparrow when that movie sucked AND bombed.

Looks like a cool Bourne movie until they bring in that father (?) character?

Makes sense. There's no way they can build anything to the level of Infinity War ever again in my mind.

Meh I disagree. I don't think Infinity War was their grand plan from the beginning (even if Thanos was introduced in the first Avengers). They would have never made the cosmic cube an infinity stone if they had. In fact, I dont think it was until Guardians of the Galaxy (the 10th film) where they really decided to go the Infinity War route. The year after that movie release, when that movie was a success, it was clear Fiege was the mastermind, they gave him complete control the following year, and Perlmutter was out. That's when they removed Inhumans from the slate, added in Spider-man and an Ant-man sequel. Those movies were just ways to intertwine the Infinity war Saga.

They won't need to wait 10 films in to create another big baddie. I'm just hoping it's a good version of Galactus.

I agree with everything in that article but I still find the writing of it to be disingenuous.

Lotsa "top critics" out there pretending they were always on the side of Martin Scorsese and high art. Oh noes, it wasn't them that ran with the crowd and mindlessly applauded some completely anemic movies.

These are people who will churn out 1,200 words on "Endgame" and then lend tacit support to smaller films in a couple of tweets, because the outlets they work for are only interested in traffic, not culture. They spent the last 10 years cheering every other blockbuster on the release schedule and now they want adopt the posture of aesthetes. Fuck em.

The piece has a nice angry energy but it also feels clickbaity in ways it shouldn't, because when you come right down to it, it is just another hunk of words meant to confirm the biases of a self-selected group of people.

Pappedemas has the temerity to blame the fans for wanting their favorites to be taken seriously, while ignoring that the critics, as a bloc, gave those same movies enormous credibility. So I find it ridiculous to cry about the chuds when you don't ask why "Ant Man" and "Spider-man: Far From Home" are 'certified fresh.'

One group praises him for his "honesty" about what it takes to look like that.

Another group calls him out for the obvious use of steroids.

"Love to see it," as the cool kids say.

I know nothing about bodybuilding. Why is the use of steroids “obvious”?

He spent a full year training. Is that not adequate time to look like that with full time professional training and meal prep?

I know nothing either but I think the controversy is because the people are arguing that no, it would be impossible without steroids.

Depends what kind of steroids, but fairly sure having a studio-provided nutritionist and trainer can make anything happen.

I don't know much about body training, but won't the use of steroid make his body bigger than in the pic(s) he posted?

People suspect it because he bulked up in a very short time and he's also 41 years old, which makes it harder to build mass. Hollywood doesn't drug test and, IRL, it takes a loooooooong time to transform your body unless you take shortcuts.

It isn't a big deal. Stallone and Schwarzeneggar did the same thing back in the day. The only part I take issue with is the "oh I had a whole team helping me" line. Well, yes, that and steroids.
