The "gag" of the Deadpool 2 PG-13 Cut is that it's an ironically "family-friendly" version of it that is framed by Deadpool doing a riff on The Princess Bride where he's reading a book of the movie to Fred Savage as a bedtime story:

Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Sorta Marvel related, but I've lost count of the number of times I've watched this and almost died laughing. In fact, I've probably posted it here before, but dammit it deserves and rewards repeat viewings.

It's almost literally a work of genius for the modern memey world of repurposing other material into new forms. When he starts to crash like an old computer, I basically can't breathe from laughing so hard.
"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home wine-making course and forgot how to drive?"

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

There's nothing to get, really. It's just someone fucking around with a clip and trying to find jokes by twisting it around.

As someone who is a huge fan of the weirdness of Tim and Eric, it did nothing for me.

That wasn't intended as a slam. My understanding (Christ I sound old) is that "shitposting" is deliberately low-effort silliness. And that clip is low-effort in its effects but deliberately so. I laughed when his desk-slaps caused explosions. Maybe I'm using the wrong word?

EDIT: This channel is called "The YouTube Pooper." I doubt the creator would take offense.

I relate shitposting to bad posts. Maybe reddit taught me wrong?

I thought it could swing either way. I dunno.

Anyway, I'm just a boy whose intentions were good.

Oh, Duke, please don't let me be misunderstood.

I feel like this could only be funny to people who've edited movies in some form where they come across many of these glitches on their own.

It's funny at times and eye-roll worthy at others. I'm surprised there's posts debating this actually.

It might also depend on how deep down the YouTube rabbit hole you've gone. The video reminds me a lot of the Super Deluxe style (below), where it's half going for laughs and half just seeing what kind of strangeness it can generate cheaply. I'm not arguing it's entirely successful, but I do think there's a deliberate schema here and not just "randomness" (although it's similar enough to randomness that I understand that argument).

I only smiled a bit at the Jonah.exe bit. That's curious but why would it be funny?

For the same reasons why repurposing an image of something via photoshopping into other contexts can be funny: because it's creative and jarring and strikes me in just the right places. This is just an audio version of that. Whew, tough crowd.

EDIT: I should also add that I think it springboards off of Simmons's similarly wild and frenetic performance beautifully.

If there was ever any more confirmation that Brie Larson is taking over the Captain America team lead, it was revealed today she has a 7 picture deal with Marvel. Just enough for 3 solo films, and 3 avenger films and one team up film.
