12. 10 Second Film - With the title lead in, this film is actually fifteen seconds long. You get half again as much film as you were expecting. What could top that!

14. Lovers of the Arctic Circle - Beautiful and twisted love story that's often overlooked when talking about recent films from Spain. The ending is a shocker.

Years before he would travel back in time and join Police Squad, Lt. Frank Drebin commands an interstellar frisbee out to rescue a totally bitchin' space babe from her old man's overly active imagination. And then Robbie the Robot shows up and makes whiskey. HELLS YEAH.

Yeah Forbidden Planet is all kinds of awesome.
Forbidden Games - Along with Ivan's Childhood, this is one of the best war films featuring children ever.

18 - House of Games - Probably Mamet's best film. Mantegna is awesome.
19. Funny Games (US) **1/2 - Better than the old one, but Haneke's second worst film. Still good in most respects if you can get past the condescending tone.
20. Funny People (US) - ** 1/2 - Starts great, but fizzles really badly until the end. I respect the direction Apatow tried to go with it, and Sandler pulls his role off with aplomb, but the film is just filled with a lot of people that are hard to get behind, and goes on about 45 minutes too long.
21. The People Under the Stairs - Wes Craven kinda sucks and this film shows why. Great premise but falls victim to the Crave's usual misjudged (or rather, unjudged) tone and... well, that's virtually all I remember about it. Actually remember the trailer for Mikey more vividly, which was on the VHS that I rented back in the day. Never a good sign for any film.
Undertow - This is how I came to know David Gordon Green. A unique approach to what could've otherwise been an atypical movie. Absolutely loved the cinematography in this one.
The Towering Inferno - I don't remember a damn thing about this movie, but it totally counts doesn't it?
Come and See is also great.

Since I can't think of a movie whose title has the words "the", "towering" or "inferno" in it that I've seen, I'll just throw out United 93—which features a "tower" in it—and give it zero stars and then call it a disgustingly inhumane film with the inappropriate editing style of a fast-paced Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster.
Since I can think of a movie with either "United" or "93" in it, I'm just going rate something else with a number in it: the number 30 bus I took to work to this morning. It was on time and succesfully had no breakdowns, but there were two teenage girls talking over loud for the whole trip which somewhat dampened the experience. I give it 6/10.
What about The Damned United?
I'm curious if everyone understands the game.

For me, this was easily the weakest installment of the trilogy. It was still enjoyable, but nowhere near the excellence of the first and third installments.

25. Lord of War
I might be on a minority, but I'm a huge fan of this film. Visually very dynamic and Cage makes the role. I love the opening sequence showing the fabrication and usage of a single bullet.
Have you seen the extended version? I found it to be the only film of the three that really benefited from the added scenes quite a lot. They cut out some beautiful stuff for the theatrical release.

26. Casualties of War - ***
One of De Palma's better movies as well as one of the better war movies I've seen.
I have not, but I do own it. If it is that much of an improvement on the theatrical cut, I'll have to take the time to watch it sometime. Thanks for the heads up!
