    I bought this:

Or at least I think I did. It's been in "processing" at DD for two days.

    Price: $43.91

It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

    Got these today.

I'm a little pissed that apparently that Shinobi set is utter balls, but at least I didn't pay much for it.

Stupid advertising on the packaging made it sound like it was related to that Shinobi: Heart Under Blade movie

Would it be possible to fix the grammar in the subject line of this thread?

That's such a common mistake. I've always wondered why.

Got these for $10 a piece while scouring Vancouver stores:

Cockfighter (the Anchor Bay SE) is out of print and apparently very rare, so I'm especially pleased about that purchase.

I wasn't originally going to buy this, but after I caught myself watching it over the weekend a couple of times, I figured it was worth it. Besides, I'd rather have the movie in its OAR instead of the cropped crap that HBO gives us.

Did you buy the region 1 (USA) version without the pilot or a non-region 1 version with the pilot? They released a new DVD set with pilot, 1st and 2nd season you know...

I bought the Region 4. It has the pilot.

I know about that set, but I've never seen it around here. I think it will be a while before I buy the 2nd season since I downloaded the episodes.

Hellraiser Inferno is pretty good. Easily the best of the straight to DVD films, and probably the second best film in the series. While it is quite different than the others -- it has more of a Tales From the Darkside thing going on -- and while it sometimes shies away from some of the more grotesque imagery, it is none the less unsettling and atmospheric.

I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly. I'd say it's the second best in the series as well (behind the original).

And yeah, it relies more on disturbing psychological horror, rather than grotesque, gooey gore.

But I think it's all the better for it. While the original films certainly try to do both, I also found the psychological implications of the films' universe to be more interesting than the gore.

The female twin Cenobites are terrifying. I've read 3 or 4 reviews where people say they found them incredibly sexy, but this is something I just cannot connect with at all.

S&M is not for me, I guess.
