In my relatively short time here on the planet, working with the public hands on as I have for as long as I have in a gauging-their-interests-plus-small-talk capacity, I feel confident is washing both of the genders, exceptions abound, into one mass of confused, neurotic, selfish, polite, and curious beasts. Of course there are patterns to note, but are the patterns that relevant or polarizing? And are there not enough exceptions to be able to take each individual as their own design?

Hmmm, looking at both gay and lesbian couples i can say yes, there are a lot of differences.

homo couples kinda exaggerate their gender traits, in general, lesbians are more likely to have long term relationships and are veeeery dramatic, while gays have trouble to find long term relationships since they're more based in sex than anything else. Infidelity rates are basically the same though.

I've been in 2 fist fights in my entire life.

The first one was when I was a little kid, and it was just a playground brawl.

The second was in high school.

They're not fun, and I hope to never be involved in something like that again.

I've never been struck in my life, except once by a six-year-old boy who walloped me across the face repeatedly while I tried to subdue him. I was fifteen or sixteen and working at a child care center. The boy was... troubled... and had begun raging at the other children, so I finally had to take him in the other room and hold him still, but I couldn't get a hold of one of his arms, which kept striking me.

It may sound silly, since he was a decade younger than me, but I was all over with bruises the next day. Strong kid. Plus, I wasn't fighting back.
    ...and the milk's in me.

In the high school fight, I didn't fight back, either.

I just let him hit me as much as he wanted. I was laughing at him the whole time, which I think freaked him out and made him stop sooner than he otherwise would have.

This is the kind of strategy that would make the Joker proud.

    Indeed.

And since my adrenaline was flowing like crazy, I really didn't feel a single blow.

That's something people don't realize about "real" fights - your adrenaline is flying through you like mad, so a) you can't feel if you're getting badly hurt, and b) you get tired really, REALLY fast.

I fought once at school, mostly because some shitty friends provoked another kid into fighting me, it was brief though, both of us felt very silly and stupid afterwards. As an adult i've had some boxing training but never actually fought anyone.

I had some pretty extensive martial arts training when I was younger.

The best way to win a fight?

Don't get in a fight to begin with.

Indeed, but when you put two gay women together it's like if their dramatic powers are intensified. :P

it's a silly generalization, but it's not that far from truth.

Ehh from the 5 to 6 committed long term lesbian couples I know well it doesn't really apply to any of them.
