Honestly, WB must be throwing wild amounts of money at Nolan's feet to direct this because if they want to keep it in the same direction as Snyder's film and his Bat trilogy, I don't see how another director could step in and do it.

If WB really wants to compete with Disney on this, they really need to realize that studying the Marvel movies is a terrible idea. They have the opportunity to distinguish themselves from the competition by saying, hey, look at the Batman movies, look at the Superman movie; from now on, DC superhero movies are more serious, aims at an older audience, and carries more prestige than Marvel's popcorn blockbusters. Then you build your brand on that mindset, and once it's firmly established with several other heroes, you can integrate each other more seamlessly.
Not saying the result would be good, mind you, but it's a much better strategy than "me too"-ing one of the most successful movie enterprises in history haphazardly. Forcing crossovers like this based on the foundation of a franchise that was built to be standalone is going to result in some serious crash and burn.

JGL is a terrible choice for Batman. I think they need to ignore the Nolan franchise if they're going to make this the next big DC Comics blockbuster.
Because Actual Batman was still alive and Being Batman Across Time and Space. Dick was always just a fill-in. It's what the whole run is about.
