    The Omen - 10
    Superman - 8
Superman 2 - 8.5 (But he didn't direct it, right?)
    The Goonies - 9
    Lethal Weapon - 9.5
    Scrooged - 8
    Lethal Weapon 2 - 9
    Lethal Weapon 3 - 5.5
    Assassins - 6
    Conspiracy Theory - 10
    Lethal Weapon 4 - 4
Timeline - 3 (for Gerard Butler, the rest of the movie gets a -2)
    16 Blocks - 8

    If we're counting TV episodes:
Tales from the Crypt: The Ventriloquist's Dummy - 9
Tales from the Crypt: Dig That Cat... He's Real Gone - 8
The Twilight Zone: Nightmare at 20,000 Feet - 10
The Twilight Zone: From Agnes, With Love - 4
    The Mike

It's very very horrible, sir. It's one of those things we wish we could disinvent.

The ratings I'm seeing here for Superman are actually making me consider never posting on this forum again and cutting all contact with all of you.

And I'm not even joking. Not in the slightest.
Eh, my rating might be a little too low. Basically, I have two big problems with it:
    • Flying around the world does not make time go back.
    • Comedic Lex Luthor and bumbling sidekicks.

    The Omen - 5.5
The Act of Killing (Oppenheimer 13) - A
Stranger by the Lake (Giraudie 12) - B
    American Hustle (Russell 13) - C+
The Wolf of Wall Street (Scorsese 13) - C+
    Passion (De Palma 12) - B

I can understand the second one, and the first I can understand disliking because of its use as a plot device.

But are you really arguing science/logic in Superman?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

    Superman - 7
    The Goonies - 3
    Maverick - 7.5
    Assassins - 2
    Conspiracy Theory - 3
    Lethal Weapon 4 - 3.5

The Goonies is a film that receives only scorn and dislike from me. Its racism is just infuriating to me, despite its jocular tone. Though I dislike Mel Gibson generally, I like the playfulness of the entire Maverick cast and script.
    The Boat People - 9
The Power of the Dog - 7.5
The King of Pigs - 7

Yeah the original but I'm speaking of all the series. I don't personally feel the series is that much better than any of the others.

Well, yes, of course I am. So, ok, Superman has a lot of powers and they're not realistic, sure, but we as an audience have to know that there are limits to them in order for any story to work. If he can go back in time as he pleases without any consequences, then why do I have to care about anything that happens in the story? It can always be undnone. I have the exact same problem with the time-travelling device in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

And Mars Attacks! is awesome. One of my favorites.

Here's my question: If Superman went back in time, shouldn't he have encountered another Superman who was there during that time?

Exactly. It's one of the worst cop-outs in the history of cinema.

I agree that it's fairly crap and lowered my rating substantially.

Point two not so much. Why? It's Gene Hackman.

That seems a common perception, but I've found it in retrospect to be one of the most imaginative sequels and cleanly directed action movies of late.
