If it wasn't for the copious amounts of canon information about the universe, one would have thought that the Sith were beaten by the Republic and the Jedi, and no one knew they secretly made plans for revenge.

I can't take that line seriously anymore because he repeated it in Spaced.
(Not saying I took it seriously before, but you know what I mean.)

Neat ideas, but which is the correct cannon history?
I'm often bothered by how inconsistent jedis' powers are.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Oh, I've read this issue! That was badass. It's in the top three Star Wars comics I've ever read.

But does that actually make it a good comic?
I was under the impression that the comics made internet forum fan-fic look briliant. Was I misinformed?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Which one? There are hundreds of Star Wars comics published by several companies dating all the way back to the 70's.
And yes, the three I was referring to, I really liked.

Darth Maul is a shitty Jedi. Always getting killed.
No wonder he's constantly blathering on and on about revenge. Maybe nobody knows what revenge he's going on about...they just nod and say, "Sure Maul. Revenge."Quoting Ezee E (view post)

Eh, I thought pretty much all of it was supposed to be crap.
Is it the Dark Horse stuff you're talking about?

I could post this in the video game thread, but it won't get the attention it deserves.

Lucas knows that if he re-releases the OT in theaters after he re-releases the prequels he'll get people like me who don't like him to give him more money. He's a crafty one, that old man....

Not gonna bother seeing the originals either. I have no doubt he'll make even more revisions to them (the same way the PT Yoda is now CGI), and the 3D is a serious turnoff to me.
No thank you, I'll stay home with my limited editions, non-anamorphic as they are.
Original Trilogy CGI'd Yoda?
The OT is going to be re-released in 3D as well? Ick, what an embarrassing, pathetic spectacle.

I imagine it will be, although I will admit I don't know for certain. Some of my friends are wondering why I'm not excited about the prequels being released, and its because I've seen all of them in theaters. However, I missed out on seeing ESB in theaters when it was re-released.

I have to say, when the OTSE was RR in theaters back in 97, I was like OMG when I saw there was new footage in ANH, ESB and RoTJ. I had a WTF reaction when I saw the sarlacc at JP. Then I ate at a BBQ.

I've never seen the use of "OT" in place for Original Trilogy before this thread.
OT means 1 thing. Off Topic.
IANAAE, but OT is used ATT with SW fans when talking about OT. FYI.

Yeah, OT and PT are about as common a pairing of acronyms as you'll find within the lingo of your everyday Star Wars cultist, or at least they were back when I was a member in the early aughts.
